Sadhabhishekam

Ok, here's something cool. I was in Chennai, India at the same time my friend/co-worker Uma was there (along with her 6 sisters) to celebrate her father's 80th birthday. 80 is a big deal in India, and it is celebrated with a Hindu religious celebration--Sadhabhishekam. It was a great event to attend, and I was very honored to be invited. I can't say that a lot of what was going on I understood, as Hindu prayers were not covered in my Lutheran catechism class, but this picture of Uma with her mother and father reflects something that even I could understand--there was a lot of love in the room.
