One of my favorite pastimes is to review the vast collection of trash that collects in the drainage trenches of Afghanistan. A wonderful breeding ground for all kinds of disease and yucky stuff, we try to clean them up. I was pleasantly surprised to be invited in for a sidewalk cup of tea, served to me by the older guy on the left. I am not a big fan of tea, but he offered and I thought it would be rude to say no.
