If you hate kids, you might as well start reading the Economist website right now, because the kids out here are just killing me. They are so great and honest and inquisitive. I just love taking their pictures.Oh ya--notice the pavers. Rarely does anyone in this part of the world bother with a sidewalk, much less pavers. Just for fun, guess why the former Mayor was so enamored with these pavers:
1) He had read about Montgomery, Ohio, and wanted to emulate that effort so he could be 'just like that town that Jon worked in.'
2) Pavers were more aesthetically pleasing, and he thought it gave the community a warm ambiance.
3) He owned the paver factory.
Uh, ya. Well, we can be happy that he didn't own lumber mill or the town would have a beachless boardwalk right now.
