Well, that answers one question. The mosque that is directly across the street has first call to prayers at 3:47 am, as announced over the mosque PA system. I hate to complain, but is God really up at 3:47 am? Wouldn't he like to sleep in just a little bit? And what person can get up at 3:47 to go to prayers. Or is this just something they do for show, but no one really goes? Kind of like the Catholic stance on birth control, a 'Ya, I get it, but you must be out of your freakin mind' kind of thing.
Anyway, for someone who only made one sunrise service for Easter at the Plymouth Drive-In, and that was under penalty of death by my mom when I was but a small lad, the idea of praying at 3:47 am is not something that I find conceivable.
