Road Trip

I have spent the last week on a South Asia tour. Delhi, Chennai, Delhi, Kabul, and then a road trip over to Jalalabad for a lovely evening on a cot on a military base. I have ended up back in Kabul with a cold and really tired—but the vodka and pomegranate seem to be helping me through.

The trip to Jalalabad was amazing—it was our first trip of any real length by vehicle, and the journey through the mountains was incredible. I have posted a couple of pictures here, and I hope they convey some of the extraordinary scenery.
No wonder this place is the subject of a Lonely Planet guide.
