Laying in bed trying to get comfortable on my mom's pull out couch. It isn't bad, though the best pull couch still makes for a miserable night's sleep. Of course that is the point-to make the people who are sleeping at your house to leave sooner, not later. People get comfortable and rested they stay forever. A good (bad) pull out couch virtually guarantees a one night stopover before your guest finds a 'missing aunt' that invites him over and he then can sneak away to the local Motel 6 for some quality zzzs.
My rest here is also disrupted by Sparky** and Weiner Dog** who woke me this morning by jumping in bed with me at 630. Lovely. Sparky, who is a Boston Terrier and has the behavior of a Red Sox fan (farting, snoring, and being a bit hyper) is the second BT to live here, following 'Stanky' who passed on some years ago after setting some kind of farting/snoring record, once actually inhaling wallpaper off a bathroom wall while also blistering the ceiling paint. Sparky has great potential to best these long standing marks.
Sparky also gave me a wet willy with his tongue this morning, leading me to write this as I sit terrified of another such painful episode in a few hours. That's just nasty dawg.
**Please note no real dog names are used. Not so the guilty sobs are protected, but because I can't remember pet names and don't really care to.
