Easy Street

The last couple of weeks in the US my BlackBerry trackball was messed up--it wouldn't scroll any longer, which effectively turns my phone into a call-receiver—I can only make outgoing calls to those numbers that I can remember, which limits me to about 3 possible numbers, if we count 911.

I was going to get it fixed, but it seems impossible. ATT would be delighted to sell me a new phone with an 80 year contract commitment, but I am reluctant, knowing that the damn thing will be out of date 72 hours after I buy it. So I waited until I got to the golden land of gadget repair--Kabul. Here, for $15 I got a brand new track ball, and I am as good as new.

So, it started me thinking--all track balls get messed up after awhile. In response I am planning to offer a business--make that an opportunity--for BlackBerry owners to have them repaired for a mere $35-$50 (my business plan is still being developed, so I don't quite know my price point). A bargain I think!!!

The only thing I have to figure out is shipping. For now, I may be limited to whatever I can stuff in my bags on my various trips out here....but I know a lot of people out here, and if they each brought out 25 BBs at a time--well, I would have amassed a fortune of several hundred dollars in no time.  Yes, I know a business opportunity when I see it—this is a lot more lucrative than sneaking cans from Indiana to Michigan for the 5 cent deposit.

Next stop, Easy Street!!
